comfort & care through the entire journey
I am deeply honored by every family who invites me to share in their special moments. As your birth and postpartum doula, I will be a caring, supportive and a knowledgeable helper on your journey before, during, and after birth. I recognize birth as a key life experience that parents will remember all of their lives. A doula provides emotional support, physical comfort measures, an objective viewpoint, and assistance to the woman in getting the information she needs to make informed decisions. A doula can also help facilitate communication between the laboring woman, her partner, and clinical care providers. I do not perceive my role as medical; rather, I perceive my role as one who nurtures the laboring mother with unconditional support.
I’m passionate about the welfare of new parents and their babies. I share my training and knowledge with the goal of facilitating the transition to parenthood by “mothering the mother.” I will help you recover from pregnancy and birth and focus your energy on bonding with your new baby and other siblings.
I believe families can benefit greatly from the help of a caring and supportive person at their side during the enormous life changes that occur in the childbearing year. I provide this with my doula care.
I serve Hoboken. Hudson County, Morris County, Bergen County, the Northern New Jersey Area, and New York City!
Virtual support is a great way to continue the services I always offer while continuing to practice safe social-distancing. I offer all my services through Zoom, including virtual birth and postpartum doula services, virtual childbirth classes, and virtual prenatal yoga classes. I can customize a virtual package to suit your needs. This way, mothers and their partners can enjoy the same support they would otherwise have....
Prenatal yoga offers you a profound sense of tranquility and comfort during your pregnancy. It lets you connect with your baby and prepares you for a peaceful and natural birth, develop trust and confidence, and help you become accustomed to your ever-changing body and emotions...
The Birth Process is a very special time for expectant parents, but sometimes it can be overwhelming. As a Certified Childbirth Educator (PDCCE), I know that childbirth classes can help to ease fear and anxiety. Also, classes can help expectant couples approach birth with confidence and knowledge, which makes the whole process more enjoyable. I tailor classes to fit everyone. I offer two different classes to fit any couple’s schedule...
Peanut Balls and Birth Balls are used during pregnancy, during labor, and after birth. They are two of my favorite methods to help shorten and make labor more comfortable. A peanut ball is simply a ball shaped like a peanut! It's shape provides stability and keeps the pelvis open and mobile. Birth balls, on the other hand, are essentially normal fitness or physical therapy balls. There are many different positions involving birth balls that help with a variety of different labor needs.
I am a certified Rebozo Technician with Novice Rebozo. A Rebozo is a long, woven piece of fabric that is used as a way to help manage pain during labor. Mexican midwives used it to relieve pain and help the baby get into the optimal fetal position. The Rebozo technique has just recently seen a surge of popularity for mothers around the world. Rebozo is typically used on the mothers' hips to help move and massage them while she is either standing, lying down, or...
Many people fear that doulas decrease the role of the father or partner during labor. This is simply not true. It is the doulas job to give support to both the mom and the partner. A doula provides the couple with information, suggestions, coping strategies, and insight during this special time in their lives. Doulas and partners work together to fully support and encourage the mother. Doulas do not come in between the unique bond that a mother and her partner has...

As a birth and postpartum doula as well as a childbirth educator, I believe that the birth process takes time and patience. My greatest wish is to support women no matter the situation and to provide professional yet intimate care to all of my clients so they can have the birth experience they desire. It is my pleasure to empower expectant mothers and walk with them through this process. I often remind my clients that they are stronger than they know.
I had a very long and exhausting labor, but I was extremely lucky to have an amazing support system that helped me get through it. Looking back, I couldn’t have done it without the help, love, and patience of those around me. I want to give all moms the same support that I received. It was my own experience with childbirth that gave me an understanding of how crucial informed support is for birthing parents.
I reside in Wyckoff, NJ in Bergen County with my husband and our two children Sarah (17) and Andrew (14). I enjoy spending time with my family whenever possible. I also love practicing yoga, gardening, cooking, and running.
As your doula, I cannot wait to start this exciting and phenomenal journey with you!

As a childbirth educator and a doula, I had been asked on multiple occasions, “At what point in labor should my doula come to support me?” Different doulas have different policies when it comes to this question. Some doulas don’t join you until you are in active labor, and some don’t even come to meet

In the postpartum period, things don’t always go as planned. Today I’d like to talk about postpartum expectations, realities, and the impact of those realities. Many women feel that they are very well prepared for their births. They took childbirth classes. They bought every single item on the baby list. They decorated their baby’s room
